The Tate Britain

The Tate allowed me to see the major development in art from the 1500s to the present day.

One of my favourite paintings  is 'The Lady of Shallot' by John William Waterhouse. This oil painting is from the art movement 'Romanticism' and allows me to compare what we have learnt in our lectures from the style, colours and clothing. The use of the colour and light shows the realism of this painting and enables you to interpret the sensation of isolation and despair.
